Session Details...

I am a film-based black & white children's documentary photographer, who works entirely on location. Locations can range from your home to a local park. If you and your child have a favorite place to hang out and play let me know and I'll do my best to make arrangements.

My goal is to help your child feel relaxed during the photography session so that I can capture their natural essence. With that in mind, the session will last up to two hours to allow for breaks as needed.

My style is stress-free and natural. There will not be any forced smiles during the session. I will talk and give minimal direction during the session, but I want your child's natural beauty to shine through without interference or distraction. I like to allow children to be who they are because that honesty makes for the best images. These are your memories, so don't hesitate to bring ideas along as well.

Clothing Details...

Clothing should reflect your child's personality. Some like bold and loud, while others prefer quiet and tame. Whichever way you decide to dress your child, remember its all about expression. The details make the photos all about your child. If there is a favorite toy, stuffed animal or even a blanket bring it along with you. These items do not have to be used during the entire session, but they can make the photos unique and fun and all about who your child is at this age.

Naturally. Beautifully. You.

Proofing Details...

Approximately two weeks following your photo session, you will be presented with 15-20 proof quality portraits from your session from which final portraits will be chosen. During your hour long proofing and ordering session, we will work together to determine which portraits will look best as wall portraits as well as which will work best as album or gift portraits. All portrait orders must be paid in full at the conclusion of the proofing/ordering session.

Remember, all final portraits are individually hand-printed on fiber-based archival quality paper using traditional darkroom techniques. If you have any questions on the process your final portraits will undergo, please feel free to ask during the proofing session.

Final portraits will be ready for pickup or delivery within 5 weeks following the proofing session.

I stand behind my work and ensure you that your portrait session is a risk-free experience. I commit to provide quality, photographic portraits that make you proud. If in the event you are not satisfied, I will be happy to discuss a re-shoot with your child at your convenience and my expense.
